CoC Competition Grant has been released by HUD. All providers are encouraged to apply even if they have not previously received CoC Program Funding. Faith-based organizations may apply on the same basis as any other organization. HUD does not engage in any unlawful and improper conduct, policies, or practices that target faith-based organizations.
If you intend to apply for funding, please read over this NOFO carefully for information regarding HUD priorities and eligible project types. Agencies interested in submitting a project application should monitor their emails for details on the project application submission process. Project applicants need to have their projects submitted by the deadline below. After the deadline the project Rank and Review committee will rank and score project applicants. Project applicants will be notified which projects will be submitted with the collaborative application on or before December 30, 2025. Applicants are encouraged to view the Project Rank & Review process below for details on how the CoC scores projects and determines which ones will be submitted to HUD. Please note that there are two processes that comprise the NOFO competition: the local competition and the HUD competition. In order to be eligible for the national HUD competition, your project must score high enough in the local competition to be included in the CoC Collaborative Application. Applicants that are included in the CoC Collaborative Applicant will be responsible for inputting their project application into HUD’s E-Snaps website portal by January 7, 2026.

The project ranking and review process is a community-coordinated process for objectively ranking project funding applications based on a community need and HUD-specified priorities. This process is updated annually to address emerging needs in the community.
