CES

Streamlined Support

One Door to Many Services

At Doorways of NW Florida, we participate in and promote the use of the Coordinated Entry System (CES), a community-wide approach to ensuring that individuals and families experiencing or at risk of housing instability are matched with the right services as efficiently and fairly as possible.

Simplified Access to Help

What Is Coordinated Entry?

Coordinated Entry is a streamlined intake and assessment process used by providers across the Continuum of Care (CoC). Rather than navigating multiple agencies or applying for different programs on their own, individuals and families can go through one access point to be evaluated and referred to the most appropriate housing and support options available.

Why CES Matters

The CES is designed to ensure that:

  • People receive help based on urgency and vulnerability, not just on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Available resources are used more effectively and equitably across the region
  • Agencies are better connected, allowing for more coordinated and consistent care
  • Individuals experience less confusion, duplication, and delay when seeking assistance
Who Is Eligible?

The Coordinated Entry System is intended for:

  • Individuals and families experiencing homelessness
  • Those at immediate risk of losing housing
  • Survivors of domestic violence or other vulnerable populations needing rapid intervention
Collaborate for Impact

Partner Participation

CES is a collaborative system, and participation is essential. Doorways works closely with community partners, shelters, housing programs, and service providers to maintain a fair and transparent process.

If your organization is interested in participating in CES or becoming an access point, please contact us at director@doorwaysnwfl.org.
